Course Description:
This course empowers Emergency Managers, Disability Partners, and Community-based organizations serving individuals with access and functional considerations with the technical support, knowledge, and capability to integrate how they plan, prepare, respond, and recover from disasters.

Course Objectives:
The course, which outlines key inclusion principles, addresses avenues for partnership development, and details important guidance and best practices, focusing on the following topics:

• Whole Community Planning
• Integrated Shelter Operations
• Inclusive Transportation and Evacuation Practices
• Effective Communication and Accessible Emergency Messages
• Long Term Recovery

Target Audience:

Any community partner that interfaces with the public through any stage of the preparedness cycle

No necessary prerequisites

Cost:

There is no fee for the course. Food, lodging & transportation costs

Completion:

Participants who actively participate, attend all course
