Brief Description: The Challenge of Pesticides and Poisons

Full Description: Develops skills necessary to safely stabilize a hazardous materials incident involving pesticides and poisons. Includes procedures to correctly identify materials, determine their toxicology, and develop strategies to manage the incident.  Information on storage and distribution requirements of the Fire Code of New York State for pesticides and poisonous materials is also included. Case studies examine the dangers of these materials and the lessons to be learned from actual incidents.
