Full Description
The New York State Disaster Preparedness Commission (DPC) Exercise Coordination Committee is sponsoring a one hour NY Responds (NYR) refresher training course to be held virtually via webex. NY Responds is the web-based solution to integrating and managing multiple functions of the State EOC. The system allows agencies and counties to follow the status of their resource request as it moves through the State EOC. This training is intended for students that have already completed the full day course but would like a refresher on basic functions. Students do not need a NY Responds account to attend as training accounts will be utilized.

Course Curriculum Structure and Topics:
– Creating, updating & viewing calls (resource requests and information reports).
– System-wide functions & tools.
- Open forum for questions and/or demonstrations of any of the system's features.

Target Audience:
The target audience for this course is county/local emergency managers and personnel who may be assigned to a county or local Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Prerequisites:
This is a one hour refresher course intended for people who have already completed the full day course.
