Full Description: Advanced Swiftwater/Flood Rescue Technician course is a 24-hour course that is designed to meet NFPA 1006 (2021 edition) Job Performance Requirements (JPR’s) for Swiftwater/Floodwater Rescue Technician not met in Swiftwater/Floodwater Rescue Technician, specifically integrating Rope Rescue techniques for the Swiftwater/Flood environment.

At the end of this course, the student will have:
• Knowledge of hazards & risks in Swiftwater/flood rescue.
• Knowledge of hazards & risk in night operations in Swiftwater flood rescue.
• Knowledge & skills for advanced Swiftwater/Flood rescue situations such as Vehicle rescue
        in moving water and nighttime Swiftwater rescue operations.
• Knowledge & skills in Rope Rescue skills for Swiftwater/Flood situations.
• Knowledge & skills in Highline Rope Rescue systems in the Swiftwater Rescue environment

Pre-Requisite
       Completion of Swiftwater/Flood Rescue
       Completion of Rope Rescue Operations
