Brief Description
Alternative Fueled Vehicles and New Vehicle Technology
Full Description
Provides information about the hazards of the alternate fuels, such as ethanol, E85, compressed natural gas, liquified natural gas and propane. The course also discusses battery powered, hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Safety information on hazards that may be present at incidents involving an alternative fueled vehicle is also presented. The second portion of the program deals with the changing technology of the automobile, including vehicle safety standards and vehicle features. Intended to provide new information for those students who may have completed vehicle rescue training in the past and have a need to update information about changes to newer vehicles.
