Brief Description: NY Responds Refresher Training for NYS Agencies

Full Description: The New York State Disaster Preparedness Commission (DPC) Exercise Coordination Committee is sponsoring a one hour NY Responds (NYR) refresher training course to be held virtually via webex. NY Responds is the web-based solution to integrating and managing multiple functions of the State EOC. The system allows agencies and counties to follow the status of their resource request as it moves through the State EOC. This training is intended for students that have already completed the full day course but would like a refresher on basic functions. Students do not need a NY Responds account to attend as training accounts will be utilized.

Course Curriculum Structure and Topics:
– Creating, updating & viewing calls (resource requests and information reports).
– System-wide functions & tools.
- Open forum for questions and/or demonstrations of any of the system's features.

Target Audience:
The target audience for this course is DPC Agency Liaisons and New York State personnel who may be assigned to the State Emergency Operations Center (State EOC) or need to use NY Responds to perform their job duties.

Prerequisites:
This is a one hour refresher course intended for people who have already completed the full day course.

Directions to Location: This is a virtual training. Webex link and sign in credentials will be emailed to students the day before the training is schedule.

Reporting Instructions: This is a virtual training that will be conducted via WebEx. Link will be sent out to students the day before the training.

Class Time: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Signup Details: No Show Policy: Failure to attend a class you have registered for can result in restriction on future course attendance and agency notification. It is the students responsibility to notify us in a timely manner if you cannot attend.
