Description:
NY Responds is the web-based solution to integrate and manage multiple functions within Emergency Management and between the State and County. The system allows Agencies and Counties to enter and share information as well as follow the status of their resource request as it moves through the State EOC. This training program will introduce users to the NYR environment from log-in to accessing and using key functions and tools.

Course Curriculum and Topics:
–Roles, Rights and information flow
–Defining 3 types of information that enter the system
–Creating, Updating & Viewing Calls: Requests & Reports
–System-wide functions & tools
–GIS tools

Target Audience:
The target audience for this course is County Emergency Management staff, Regional State Agency staff, and personnel who may be assigned to local Emergency Operations Centers (LEOCs).

Prerequisites:
1. IS-100c Introduction to ICS (I-100) which can be taken on-line at FEMA IS -100c.
2. County representatives should have a thorough understanding of all expectations of their home agency when assigned to their EOC.

Cost:
There is no fee for the course. Food, lodging & transportation costs are the responsibility of the participant.

Completion:
Participants who attend all session hours will receive a Certificate of Attendance for the course.
