Description:
This course is designed as a refresher for senior staff who have previously completed Intermediate Incident Command System (ICS) for the Expanding Incident. This course focuses on recent updates to ICS and NIMS. Both the new, updated material, as well as review of the planning process for expanding incidents and large scale planned events will be covered.        

Course Objectives:
Describe updates to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Command and Management that support the management of expanding incidents.  
Describe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed in the ICS.  
Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.  

Target Audience:
The target audience for this course is individuals who may assume a supervisory/management role in expanding (Type 3) incidents. Persons likely to assume these ICS supervisory positions would include Emergency Management, Fire Service, Law Enforcement, EMS, Healthcare, Education, Military, & Volunteer organizations active in disaster. This is a refresher for those that have previously completed an I-300 course.

Prerequisites:
ICS-300 Intermediate Incident Command for Expanding Incidents
IS-100.c: Introduction to the Incident Command System
IS-200.c: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
IS-700.b: National Incident Management System, An Introduction
IS-800.d: National Response Framework, An Introduction

Cost:
There is no fee for the course. Food, lodging & transportation costs are the responsibility of the participant.

Course Completion:
Participants who actively participate, attend all course contact hours and pass a written test will receive a certificate of completion for the course.
